What is a Narrative Music Video?
A narrative music video, in simple terms is a music video which tells a story. There are many examples of MV's having these. Bon Jovi - Always is a good example.

Why was a Narrative Video chosen for this song?
Usually, adding narrative causes the viewer to have more connection, an emotionally response and/or helps them understand what the song was written for. In this case, the song is about a very important women in his life, this is shown through the narrative video as structured moments from his life with the girls, and the end of that.
How effective do you think the Video is at promoting the artist and song? Why?
I think the video is rather effective at grasping the viewers attention, it begins with showing how beautiful and sexy the girl is, showing the physical attachment. It is then developed with emotional scenes, happy scenes and bonding scenes. I think adding a narrative music video to this song really helps get the idea of what's going on behind the song, without it, it's really open to interpretation (less so than some other songs) which might have changed the view on the song. I think it promotes the artist well, it's very styled similar to the rest of his work, which is quite unique.
